These regulations set out how the Executive Board, the executive body of FBBFK, works. The Board runs the Federation’s day-to-day work between meetings of the Assembly and is accountable to the Assembly for its work. The regulations were signed on 1 March 2023.
The regulations are of interest to member clubs and to members of the public who want to know how decisions are taken on the competition calendar, the national team and the Federation’s regulations. The composition of the Board and how it is elected are set out in the Statute.
What it contains
- The Board as the executive body, acting in accordance with the Statute.
- The four-year term of office of its members, with the possibility of re-election, and their dismissal by the Assembly through a vote of no confidence.
- Representation of women and minority communities on the Board.
- Duties: managing administrative, organisational and financial affairs, implementing the Assembly’s decisions and organising the Federation’s activities.
- Approving the annual competition calendar and deciding on the national team’s participation in international competitions.
- Proposing amendments to the Statute and the regulations, and appointing the Federation’s representatives.
- Replacing the President in the event of resignation or absence.
- Meetings: as needed, but at least four times a year; they are called and chaired by the President.
- Decisions by majority vote; in the event of a tie, the President has the casting vote.
- The obligation to respect the rules on conflicts of interest; a member with a personal interest may abstain.
For clubs and athletes
- The annual competition calendar and the national team’s participation in international competitions are approved by the Board.
- The Board may refer any matter to the Assembly for consideration and decision.
